Started watching Doctor Who!

I started watching the first series of Doctor Who (from 2005) this weekend, and now I'm close to the end of it. I'll be sad to see the Ninth Doctor go, but I guess the Tenth will be good too, since he's the fan favourite. It'll be fun to see how the characters react to his new appearance and personality. 

I don't understand why so many people call the Ninth "angsty" though? I think he's quite goofy. But maybe that's in comparison to the Tenth, which I know absolutely nothing about, beyond a few gifs that I've seen on tumblr. I'll have to wait and see! 

It's bugging me a bit that Rose is being such a jerk to her (ex?) boyfriend Mickey. But I LOVE the Doctor, and the new character Jack is okay too. :)
