My main fandoms

  • I'm a big fan of Superman. Since I don't know anyone who shares this very nerdy interest, I have written a lot about it here. 
    • I decided Smallville is a category of its own, and have explained why here.
    • As a "side effect" I very casually like some other DC stuff as well, mostly Batman.
  • I fell in love with The Sandman in 2022 after watching the new TV show.
  • I had Doctor Who on the brain from around 2011 to 2014. The 11th Doctor in particular was my favourite.

Me

I'm not planning to share much about myself here, other than the odd detail that's relevant to a post. This is intended just as a nerd blog. But just for a tiny bit of context: I'm a Norwegian millennial woman who lived in the UK for a while. :)

The blog

I've been falling in love with nerdy, "unconventional" stuff ever since I was little, and maybe a bit more intensely than the average person. My friends and family could only handle having their ears talked off for so long, so I created this blog to vent some excitement. 

I'm still a "huge dork"1 all these years later, but there can be long gaps in between "passion topics". Sometimes I write a LOT for a period of time, then suddenly not at all. 

I used to blog in Norwegian in the beginning, but I kept tripping over some awkward grammar. Writing "The Doctor" as a name, for example. Or naming alien races. Since most of what I write is about is English or American media, I decided to switch to English instead. Good practice.

The name of the blog means "The Phantom Zone" (from the Superman comics) in Norwegian.

Some older posts have been deleted because of cringe. I also go back and edit my favourite posts occasionally, for similar reasons. But I try to maintain the general idea of what I originally wrote.
