My fandoms

  • I'm a big fan of Superman. Since I don't know anyone who shares this very nerdy interest, I have written a lot about it. 
    • I used to love Smallville, but I've made that a completely separate tag. I have explained why here.
  • I fell completely in love with The Sandman after watching the Netflix show in 2022.
  • I had Doctor Who on the brain from around 2011 to 2014. The 11th Doctor in particular was my favourite.

The blog

I've been falling in love with slightly unconventional, nerdy stuff ever since I was little, and maybe a bit more intensely than the average person would. My friends and family could only handle having their ears talked off for so long, so I created this blog around 2007 to vent some excitement. 

I'm still a "huge dork"1 all these years later, but there can be long gaps between the times when I have a passion/fixation. Sometimes I surface and write A LOT, then suddenly not at all, for years. 

I used to blog in Norwegian in the beginning, but I kept tripping over some awkward grammar. Writing "The Doctor" as a name, for example. Or naming alien races. Since most of what I write is about is English or American media, I decided to switch to English instead. It's been good practice over the years.

Some older posts have been deleted because of cringe. I also go back and edit my favourite posts occasionally, for similar reasons. But I try to maintain the general idea of what I originally wrote.

The name of the blog means "The Phantom Zone" (from the Superman comics) in Norwegian.

Me

Norwegian, millennial, lived in the UK for some years, recently became a mum. Some/most nerdy content I enjoy by myself, sometimes I'm joined by my partner.
