Superman & Lois S02E04

  • I'm glad Superman got to have a proper fight this time, and not end up looking super weak. All the drama and an increasingly vulnerable Superman does not entertain me.
  • I don't care about the Cushing side plot at all.
  • Kyle has cheated, Sarah has sort of cheated. Are we going for a "forgive your cheating partner" thing this season?
  • Jon taking drugs is a really weird plotline, and it's equally weird to do it and not show consequences in the same episode. Also, did he react to it just like any human? I just don't know what the point of Jon is at this point. Clark and Lois could have had just one kid. Hopefully this goes somewhere, but it didn't all last season, so...
  • Irons needs to sort his suit out.
  • Anderson is a really dumb character, and he's just there to be annoying. He's not even a well written annoying character. His actions literally make no sense.
  • Chrissy's actions make no sense either, but hopefully she's just asking to meet Ally to learn more about what's going on.
  • Jordan asks Sam to train him, and Sam tells him to keep it secret. Wat. Why? One, shouldn't Jordan be trained by the one guy who has similar powers, and why does it need to be kept secret? There's absolutely no way this isn't going to blow up in your face, Sam.

And some thoughts on the season so far:

  • It's really weird that Jon just has a new girlfriend. It's probably because the actress that played Teagan couldn't or didn't want to come back, but the way they just threw in a new girl with no explanation is odd. Would have preferred that they just recast the character.
  • Glad the "thing in the mines" wasn't Doomsday, but not a huge fan of the way they made it seem like it was. Seems a bit forced.
  • Is Clark still unemployed? I feel like they are just ignoring this completely. Or is he supposedly making money running the farm? This is kind of annoying me.
  • Jon and Clark need more moments together, and the show needs to sort out a proper storyline for Jon. Now.
